Celebrate National Wellness Month
August is National Wellness Month! WOOT WOOT! We are celebrating by giving you 28 ways you can ramp up your wellness for FREE! All month we will be deep diving into topics and helping bring some more wellness to you and your family. So make sure you are following along all month.

WHAT IS WELLNESS?
Wellness can be a vague term to describe you being healthy, especially when it is something that you are working toward. Many people will mix and blend “wellness” and “healthy” where healthy is more of a state of being and wellness is more of the pursuit and actions you are taking toward your health. Perhaps my favorite way to describe wellness comes from Debbie Stoewen “Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, fueling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit. Although it always includes striving for health, it’s more about living life fully, and is “a lifestyle and a personalized approach to living life in a way that…allows you to become the best kind of person your potentials, circumstances, and fate will allow”.”
For us- that definition is exactly why we started Ideal Core. To help people shape their ideal health and fitness. If you have followed us for any amount of time you have heard us talking about goal setting and rounding out your wellness wheel. There are lots of different variations of the wellness wheel. I created this one as we were going through some major life changes and it continues to work for us and our clients who are setting and achieving their goals. You can see at its core it has 4 major areas of focus: health, wealth, social, and personal. You can branch each one of these areas into more and more areas of focus until it looks like a giant wheel. Why is the wheel so important? Because in life you want to continue to roll forward as smoothly as possible. Having an area that is suffering can cause a bumpy road ahead.
WHAT IS NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH AND HOW CAN WE PARTICIPATE?
National Wellness Month was founded by Live Love Spa in 2018 to build a stronger connection between all areas of the Wellness industry. While there are thousands of wellness businesses and products available to you, many only focus on a few areas of their expertise while leaving out other areas. Take us for example! While being a member of the Ideal Core family we are going to help you round out your health wellness a lot, your personal and social wellness quite a bit, and I don’t think in 10 years we’ve ever talked in depth about improving anyone’s wealth wellness!
So National Wellness Month is a time where we can work together and smooth out our wellness wheel.
So we’ve created a bunch of activities you can do and put them in the major categories (Health, Wealth, Social, and Personal). We encourage you to create some more balance in your personal wellness wheel. Download your wellness activities here!
